These cycling boots apparently are made with a wider last to accommodate thicker socks (meaning you can buy your regular cycling shoe size and still get a good fit). I found I could loosen the Boa lacing system with my thick wool socks and have a good fit still. But the outer sleeve of the boots with the zipper is not made bigger to accommodate thicker socks/wider calves and was too tight for me. I couldn&#x27;t zip up the zipper all the way which made me feel vulnerable to snow or water getting into the boot. The zipper doesn&#x27;t feel very sturdy either and I am afraid it is going to rip off the boot each time I try to zip it up.

Shoes are lightweight and material is fine, soft PU leather I think. Size runs small, especially around the cuffs. No option to loosen the cuffs and thicker legs would feel like a sausage. It&#x27;s warm enough. I wish the clip plate had a cover for when you don&#x27;t want to clip in and want to use them on flat pedals.

First ride with the boots and the zipper broke! Wrote a email on January 8th to louis garneau as it was a sale tru marketplace. Still havent got an answer for a warranty claim! Cheap zipper and bad customer service! To bad because the boots are confortable and look good...
