This beanie is nice and warm. My only complaint would be that due to the fabric it can be noisy when it rubs against my ears. I solved that by having a very thin microfibre beanie under it. I ordered the larger size (my head is on the bigger side) and the fit is tight but not uncomfortable.

Down beanie

Cute hat. I liked it very much at first, The only problem is that it keeps sliding up. You have to remember to arrange its position.

perfect for winte

I try to find ways to reduce weight and space when doing long through hikes. My wool beanies weren&#x27;t really that heavy but they never compressed very well and took up a lot of pack space. 

This outdoor research beanie solves that problem. I can wear it in the morning when I&#x27;m closing up my tent site and then just shove it into any pocket before I start hiking. 

The down side is because it&#x27;s down, I wouldn&#x27;t hike with it on. Once it gets wet, it&#x27;s not going to retain heat anymore. But that&#x27;s a property of down, not a con of the beanie itself.

It does block out a lot of sound and if you walk with it on, you tend to hear a lot of scratching sounds in your ears. A very thin microfibre or fleece layer would help with that in a future iteration, but I understand that it would then increase the size and weight.

Looks silly in the pic but looks cute on my head! Fits small so I bought the Large. Fits my medium size head just fine! Love it!

Unreal warmth

A little bit weird as far as the look goes but it&#x27;s a warm beanie that packs small. Like other reviewers have said it is small. I bought the L/XL it is not a XL.

I read the reviews and saw that people were saying this hat is small. It is, that is true so I purchased the biggest size they had and it fits me, but looks EXTRA cute on my toddler, so it’s hers now. It’s super warm she says and comfy. 5 stars. Please make it in other styles!

Nice and warm

Got the L/XL based on measurements and fits like a true beanie right against the head. It is very warm but was hoping for a slightly looser fit for the down to loft more.
